Ace T. Tate
Ace Tate is an associate attorney in the Labor Department. His practice focuses on the Public Safety Officers’ Procedural Bill of Rights and the Meyers-Millias-Brown Act. He is also a PORAC LDF panel attorney and represents clients in disciplinary matters, grievances, and critical incidents. Ace also advises clients on a variety of employment law related matters such as wage and hour issues.
Before joining Mastagni Holstedt, A Professional Corporation, Ace was a deputy labor commissioner with the state of California’s Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. One highlight of his tenure at the DLSE involved obtaining over half-million dollars in minimum and overtime wages and penalties for 17 employees after a four-day administrative trial.
Ace earned his J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law. He received a B.A. and B.S. from Arizona State University where he was captain of the swim team. Ace is admitted to both the California State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
