Carl C. Larson
Carl Larson is an associate attorney in the Labor Department. His practice centers on the Public Safety Officers' Procedural Bill of Rights, Firefighters' Procedural Bill of Rights and the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act. As a PORAC LDF panel attorney, he represents clients in critical incidents and disciplinary matters. He also pursues grievances on behalf of public safety associations.
Before joining Mastagni Holstedt, A Professional Corporation, Carl worked on the opposite side of the table as a management-side defense attorney. He worked on traditional labor law matters primarily in the agricultural industry as well as wage and hour, OSHA, discrimination, layoffs and other employment matters. Prior to that Carl was a Civil Rights Honors Fellow at the Department of Fair Employment and Housing where he prosecuted discrimination complaints and negotiated several matters to settlement.
Carl earned his J.D. from the University of California, Davis' King Hall School of Law. He graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Sacramento with B.S. in Business Administration and an award for Outstanding Student in the Marketing Concentration. Carl is admitted to the California State Bar.
