Joseph E. Yalon is an associate in the Workers' Compensation and Labor & Employment departments at Mastagni Holstedt, A Professional Corporation. Joseph represents public sector employees in administrative investigations and hearings on behalf of PORAC Legal Defense Fund and various state and local labor associations. He additionally has extensive experience practicing before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board. Joseph has represented injured workers, insurance companies and both self-insured and uninsured employers in all aspects of workers compensation litigation, including serious and willful misconduct and discrimination (LC 132a) claims.
Joseph earned his undergraduate degree from the California Polytechnic State University having had the opportunity to study at both campuses, San Luis Obispo and then Pomona California. Originally from the San Francisco bay area, he decided to stay in Southern California and attended the University of La Verne College of Law on an academic scholarship. At law school he was a Senior Staff Writer for the school’s Law Review, member of the Dean’s list and graduated with honors.
