Matthew Perkins, Associate (Workers' Compensation)
Matthew Perkins is an associate in the Workers' Compensation Department at Mastagni, Holstedt, Amick, Miller & Johnsen. He is licensed to practice in all California State Courts as well as the Federal Court of the Eastern District of California. He represents all employees in Workers' Compensation matters hearings, trials, and appeals.
Prior to joining the firm, Matthew was a Legal Research Attorney at Placer County Superior Court. He worked primarily on Civil Law & Motion matters-writing tentative rulings, providing research to judicial officers and communicating with attorneys.
Matthew is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law and Benedictine College, where he earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees. While in Law School, Matthew was the Notes and Comments Editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. He also interned in the Corporate offices of St. Jude Medical, Inc. and the chambers of Judge Anne McKeig of the Hennepin County Family Justice Center. Matthew represented the school as a member of the AAJ trial advocacy competition team. In his time off Matt enjoys being outdoors and exercising. He played baseball in college and continues to run, lift weights, cycle, and hike. He enjoys almost all forms of outdoor recreational activity. Matt grew up in Roseville, CA and attended Oakmont High School, where he was a four-sport athlete.
