Social Security Disability

At Mastagni, Holstedt, Amick, Miller, Johnsen & Uhrhammer, we work to protect income for injured public safety employees and other injured workers by providing representation to claimants throughout northern California in Social Security and SSI disability appeals. Our attorneys handle appeals at Social Security district offices and hearings before administrative law judges.

Social Security benefits may be available to an employee who cannot work due to a serious injury or disability, regardless of age. The injured employee or the employee's dependents may qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits if a physical and/or mental impairment prevents the employee from performing gainful work for a period of at least 12 months or causes the employee's death.
