Adrian Carpenter joined Mastagni Holstedt, A Professional Corporation, as an associate attorney in the Labor and Employment Department. She represents public sector employees in administrative and disciplinary investigations, hearings, and critical incident investigations.
Adrian was previously a Deputy Legal Affairs Secretary for the Office of Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. where she worked on criminal justice issues across the state of California. She previously worked as a prosecutor within the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted offenses including DUI, assault, robbery, drug offenses, domestic violence, sex offenses, and child abuse. In addition, Adrian worked as a Deputy City Attorney in Sacramento, where she advised Labor Relations and the Sacramento Police Department. Adrian has tried over 30 jury trials and has handled multiple arbitrations and administrative hearings on behalf of her clients.
Adrian earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. In law school she externed at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District and interned with the San Francisco and Alameda County District Attorney’s Offices.
