Christopher Walsh is an associate in the Labor and Employment Department of Mastagni Holstedt, APC. He represents public sector employees primarily in criminal defense, disciplinary investigations and administrative hearings arising during the course and scope of their employment, critical incident representation, legislative analysis and corporate counsel to public safety unions.
Prior to joining the firm, Chris was a prosecutor for 16 years. He served in a management role as Assistant District Attorney in Nevada County. Previously he worked as a deputy district attorney in Kings, Fresno, and Santa Clara County. Chris has extensive jury trial experience. As a prosecutor he was assigned to specialty units that focused on gangs, sexual assault, and homicide. He has tried many high-profile and complex cases, including a cold case, rape-murder committed in 1983. Chris was twice recognized as Prosecutor of the Year in Fresno County and was nominated for Trial Attorney of the year in Santa Clara County.
Chris earned his J.D. from Oak Brook College of Law, where he graduated with honors. At the time he passed the bar at age 22 he was one of the youngest lawyers in the State of California. He received his B.A. from Excelsior College, where he also graduated with honors.
