
Daniel Osier is a senior associate and trial lawyer in the civil litigation department of Mastagni Holstedt, APC His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and employment matters. Mr. Osier has been selected for inclusion in Northern California’s Super Lawyers, Rising Stars, annually for the last 4 years. He has successfully represented clients in matters ranging from motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, medical malpractice, insurance coverage disputes, products liability, government tort claims, Cal/OSHA workplace incidents, serious and willful misconduct petitions (Labor Code §4553), and employment disputes.
Mr. Osier has provided workshops to union clients on legal matters such as the “Firefighter Rule” (Civil Code §1714.9), insurance coverage issues, workers’ compensation/employer third-party lien and credit rights, employer negligence, and peace officer (Pitchess) privacy rights. He has also taught continuing legal education courses on civil procedure and discovery in state courts, as well as handling personal injury/workers’ compensation crossover cases and the legal issues arising from workplace injuries due to third party negligence.
Mr. Osier is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law (J.D. 2009) and San Diego State University (B.S. 2006). He is a native of Yolo County and currently lives in Davis with his wife and three children.
