Dennis Wallach is a labor consultant and investigator in the Labor Department of Mastagni Holstedt, A Professional Corporation. Dennis is a retired Sergeant from the Cotati Police Department. Throughout much of his law enforcement career Dennis has served as an association president or a board member; serving for a decade as President of both the POA and PMA. Currently, Dennis serves as a labor consultant and Chief spokesperson for over 30 of the firm’s clients, consisting of Police Officers, Deputy Sheriffs, University Police Officers, Probation Officers, fire personnel, managers, and civilian employees.

Dennis has negotiated dozens of MOU’s and side letters. He mediates disputes and conducts meet and confers for the firm’s clients. He has extensive knowledge in Public Safety Officers’ Procedural Bill of Rights Act (POBR) and Firefighters’ Procedural Bill of Rights Act (FBOR). Dennis provides training to clients in areas of association leadership, POBR, and contract negotiations.

As a firm criminal/civil investigator, he focuses on evaluating cases and developing investigative plans, obtaining evidence and interviewing witnesses. He is an evidence reconstruction expert, certified by the Department of Justice. Dennis responds to law enforcement critical incidents throughout California.

During his extensive law enforcement career, his background and training concentrated on criminal investigations, internal affairs investigations, personnel management, field training, SWAT, and evidence reconstruction.

Dennis graduated from Supervisor Leadership Institute, Class 247. Dennis’ years of college work focused on criminal justice and public policy.
