Dennis Wallach is a Senior Labor Relations Consultant in the Labor Department of Mastagni Holstedt, APC since 2011. Dennis is a retired Sergeant from the Cotati Police Department. Throughout much of his law enforcement career Dennis served as an association president or a board member, serving for a decade as President of both the POA and PMA. Currently, Dennis serves as a labor relations consultant and Chief spokesperson for over 20 of the firm’s clients, consisting of Police Officers, Deputy Sheriffs, Corrections, Probation Officers, Fire Personnel, Professionals and Managers. He also has experience in private public safety units (UOP Police, AMR) and civilian employees.
Dennis has negotiated numerous MOU’s and side letters. He mediates disputes and conducts meet and confers for the firm’s clients. Dennis is actively involved in assisting his clients with by-laws revisions, policy review and updates, meet and confers over changes in working conditions, wages, and hours of employment, updating Boards of Directors on key law changes pertaining to mandatory subjects of bargaining. He is also an expert in other areas such as Public Safety Officers’ Procedural Bill of Rights Act (POBR), Firefighters’ Procedural Bill of Rights Act (FBOR), contract costing, pension regulations, budget analysis, healthcare and other fringe benefits, and complex contract language.
