Workers’ Compensation Attorney – Sacramento and Rancho Cucamonga, California Offices

Mastagni Holstedt, APC is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Sacramento office and Rancho Cucamonga office in the Workers’ Compensation department. We are an AV-rated law firm that represents a variety of employees who are injured on the job including laborers, grocery clerks, state employees, electrical workers, and Union members from the public and private sectors, including peace officers and firefighters.

An Associate Attorney will be primarily responsible for handling all aspects of a significant caseload. This includes prompt client communication, drafting letters to clients and opposing counsel, filing court documents, taking and defending depositions, witness preparation, conducting trials, drafting appeals, and settlements. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials and 1-3 years of Workers’ Compensation law experience; however, experience in other areas of law may suffice. Strong writing and research skills are required. This position offers a competitive salary with an incredible amount of room to grow.

The salary range for Sacramento is $105,000 to $145,000.

The salary range for Rancho Cucamonga is $110,000 to $145,000.

Associate Attorney – Labor and Employment/Criminal Defense Attorney

Mastagni Holstedt, A.P.C., an AV-rated litigation firm, seeks attorney with 2+ years of labor and employment experience and a criminal defense attorney with 3+ years of experience in the practice of criminal law. The ideal candidates will have broad experience with all types of labor & employment matters, including: administrative hearings before city, county, and state agencies, PERB, and NLRB; litigating claims in state and federal courts; and union business/relations. Excellent working knowledge of California and federal employment statutes and regulations required. The ideal candidates will also have broad experience with all types of criminal matters, including: DUI, drug possession, domestic violence, assault, battery, vehicular and non-vehicular, restraining orders, and have extensive experience litigating criminal matters in state and federal courts, possess oral advocacy skills, and have jury trial experience. Admission to the California Bar, immediately transferable skills, a strong academic background, and excellent writing skills are also required.

Pay ranges are from $115,000 to $160,000 per year. The firm is filling two associate attorney positions: the first in Inglewood, CA and the second in Sacramento, CA.

Civil Litigation Attorney – Sacramento Office

Mastagni Holstedt, A.P.C., seeks highly ambitious attorney with 2 or more years of civil litigation experience to work closely with senior and partner attorneys in our Sacramento Office. The ideal candidate has in-depth experience in high profile cases including labor and employment law, trial and appellate litigation in California and federal courts, complex civil, class action and collective action litigation, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the U.S. and California Constitutions, the California Public Records Act (CPRA), the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights (POBR), the California Labor Code, the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, and other statutes protecting the rights of employees.

The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for handling all aspects of a significant caseload, including representation of public safety employees. This includes prompt client communication, retaining and working with expert witnesses and consultants, preparing and filing pleadings, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, witness preparation, law and motion hearings, conducting trials, drafting and arguing appeals and all other aspects of litigation.

Admission to the California State Bar, immediately transferable skills, excellent client communication skills, excellent writing skills, and work diligently with the client.

Investigator – Sacramento Office

Mastagni Holsted, APC, an AV-rated law firm which practices Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and Labor & Employment Law seeks to hire an investigator in the Sacramento Office. This role is full-time with some night and weekend work when required. You will assist and take instruction from senior investigator and attorneys; obtain and evaluate traffic accident reports and other incident/crime reports; locate and interview defendants/parties/witnesses in civil and criminal cases; serve summons, complaints, and subpoenas when necessary; investigate and document social media accounts; assist with scene investigations including but not limited to photographs, measurements, procurement of video footage, and perform accident reconstruction and other investigative jobs.

Candidates must have excellent interviewing, report writing and communication skills and a four-year college degree, preferably in Math and Communication. A valid Driver’s License is required.

The salary ranges from $5,000 to $5,500.00 per month with benefits such as Holiday, Sick Leave and Vacation pay. Offerings of health, dental, vision, accidental injury, critical illness and life insurance, parking and 401(k) plan.
