Eric Azarvand is a labor and contracts consultant in the Labor & Employment department at Mastagni Holstedt, A.P.C. In his current role, Eric negotiates labor agreements and represents police officers, sheriff deputies, probation officers, law enforcement supervisors, and fire department employees in significant labor relations matters.

Eric is a retired police officer with 25 years in law enforcement.  During his tenure, Eric served as a patrol officer and detective for the Stockton Police Department and Paso Robles Police Department.  His special assignments include VICE/Criminal Intelligence Unit, Detective, Field Training Officer, Hostage Negotiator, Narcotic Investigator, Gang Street Enforcement team (GSET), Gang Investigator and Investigator in the Special Investigations Section (SIS).  Eric is a FBI certified firearms instructor and EVOC instructor.  He is a court recognized expert in gangs and narcotics and has an extensive firearms background.

As a board member of the Stockton Police Officers’ Association, Eric was on the negotiations team during Stockton’s landmark fiscal emergency and bankruptcy. He also served as President of the Paso Robles Police Officers’ Association.  In his years serving on the association board and as President, Eric has negotiated several MOU’s and represented the associations in meet and confer issues.

Eric has accumulated hundreds of hours of P.O.S.T. specialized training in narcotics, gangs, criminal and vice investigations and explosives. Eric attended College of San Mateo and American River College.
