Mendel earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law in 2025. While there, he worked as a Research Assistant to Professors Joel Johnson and Deanna Newton. He also worked in Pepperdine’s Hugh and Hazel Darling Foundation Religious Liberty Clinic, where he worked alongside Jones Day attorneys to help litigate on behalf of clients suffering violations of the First Amendment. He works in Mastagni Holstedt’s Labor Department where he represents public sector employees in administrative and disciplinary investigations, hearings, grievances, and critical incidents.

Prior to law school, he earned his B.A. in Theology, Classical Talmudic Studies from Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitz.”
