Amanda McCarthy is an Associate Attorney in the Labor & Employment Department of Mastagni Holstedt, A.P.C. She represents public and private sector employees in individual, collective-action, and class-action civil litigation matters. Amanda is also a PORAC Legal Defense Fund panel attorney and represents public sector employees in administrative hearings, disciplinary actions, internal affairs investigations, critical incidents, and labor arbitration hearings.

Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she received Pro Bono Honors for her volunteer work with the Wage Justice Clinic and Housing & Economic Rights Advocates. She also earned a Certificate of Achievement in Consumer Law and Economic Justice. She interned with a civil litigation firm as well as a private criminal defense attorney.

Prior to law school, Amanda graduated with highest honors from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in International Development Studies and a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies. She also worked as a legal assistant for law firms specializing in class actions and mass torts.
